These are officially our first words as a startup studio.
After a decade of running various online businesses, we realized that we love to build businesses more than operating them. So far, we founded six startups in different industries and each time we enjoyed the challenge we faced. We build a viral content website with more than 200M monthly pageviews, an online store where we sold 50.000 pairs of socks(!) in 4 months, a mobile game that we killed right before we published on app stores, a Facebook ad automation platform that helped us spend $3M with high margin profits and two SaaS companies where we found our passion. Most of the time we were running them in parallel. Actually, we were a startup studio for a long time without realizing it.
What the heck is a startup studio?
A startup studio is a company that comes up with ideas, validates them and turn them into successful businesses. According to Wikipedia, there are two types of startup studios. We see ourselves as a builder studio, where we create products from scratch.
Startup studio itself is a product as well. Its goal is to repeatedly turn ideas into startups with shared know-how, vision and team. Once the startup goes well, the studio recruits a team to hand over the product and move to new ideas.
Even though we do this for a long time, it will be a new journey for us. A challenge to create a foundation of shared knowledge, methods, vision and team to create successful startups.
